O, Wanderer! Hast thou heard of the tale of the yet most forlorn
On whose woeful waves the lustrous beloved drifted forevermore?
Come and sit with us, sip the sweet tears of the alderliefest jewel
For ’tis the lake’s last lament for the lotus and then shall be no more.
‘Lotus and the Lake’s Lament is the doleful tale of a forlorn lake who had loved the precious tiny lotus who alone drifted in her dreams on his murky waves. Yet she could not comprehend the love, for it was outside her world and of alien language. And so this tale of sorrow and longing went on torturously and endlessly until it was forgotten in the veil of time.
Lotus and the Lake’s Lament is the epilogue to a tragic chapter.’
