As each day passes, streaming platforms bend more towards the interests of the dominant powers in the music industry, which is the sole way of surviving the industry’s constantly changing and growing nature. In this process, smaller and underground acts like us would suffer more than the more prominent names, both statistically and economically.
Since music is the main source of living and communication for the members of Ardawahisht, we were naturally forced to reconsider the approach we utilized in releasing music.
We have decided that from now on, our main emphasis will be on our projects’ Bandcamp pages and the collective’s YouTube channel, meaning that every future release will be initially available on these two platforms and they will be available on streaming services a few days later than the original release date.
